FLIPANY is disrupting the way health and wellness support is offered to communities that have been historically ignored. We serve nutritious food, encourage healthy eating and get people to move, but our work is so much more: We “sit at the table” with families and kids, and work tirelessly to inspire them to transform their lives with healthy meals and consistent physical activity. Partners seek our support again and again because of our relentless drive to find out-of-the-box initiatives that will ensure equitable access to healthy living for everyone.
The purpose and passion at FLIPANY are directly linked to our founder, Lynne Kunins, who was determined to help others based on her own story of overcoming addiction, poverty, hunger, and attempted suicide with physical fitness and enhanced nutrition.
FLIPANY (Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth) was founded in 2005 by Lynne Kunins, FLIPANY’s president and CEO. Lynne had been involved with a successful Open Gym program for children with a parent in prison.
FLIPANY employees are highly skilled and trained with a shared passion for serving others. While we bring different backgrounds, life experiences, and personalities to the work, we are all committed to creating a world where every human has access to a healthier life regardless of their zip code.
FLIPANY is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives in South Florida communities.
