The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the increasing number of positive cases in our state and community, has caused us to rethink our approach to raising funds for children in need. After much consideration, we have decided to make our signature fundraisers fully virtual with your safety front of mind.
The Chefs Up Front Dinner + Auction event has help us raise necessary funds to implement our nutrition education program and access to healthy food locally in our communities. While we have determined that it is no longer safe for us to gather in a group of 100 for the intimate dining experience, we are compelled to continue connecting with you virtually to raise money for children in our community. While the dining experience will not take place, the auction itself will be virtual and you will be able to bid from the comfort and safety of your home.
Bidding will begin virtually on Tuesday, October 1 at 9am until Friday, October 30 at 11:59pm. Register for the silent auction here.
The FLIPANY Fun Run represents our 16th year of joining together in physical activity to benefit the children in our community. The 16th Annual Fun Run is going virtual. In addition to the virtual component, we have added the biking component. T-shirts, prizes and FUN remain a part of the event. All funds will be used to enhance the health equity of the communities hit hardest by COVID-19.
The FLIPANY Fun Run – Walk, Bike 5K/10K runs January 9 – January 23. Registration is now open online here.
We hear every day that we are all in this together, and that is a true statement when describing our event efforts this year.
