Deerfield Beach, FL- The prevalence of food insecurity is a problem in many communities, especially concerning families. Even in a time before COVID-19, the essence of every family having enough to eat was crucial but having healthy alternatives was important as well. 

With the initiative of Healthy Students, Healthy Community [HSHC] program, progress is slowly moving forward again as evident in the recent drive-through food distribution of vegetable boxes and hot meals at Deerfield Beach Middle School.
